Our history

Vernon Land Transport was formed in 1996 by Vernon Land. Vernon started the business by himself, with one 7.5 tonne curtain sided vehicle, driving the length and breadth of the UK. Through hard work and determination, competitive pricing, honesty and reliability, Vernon saw the business grow steadily year on year. The business added more vehicles to the fleet and acquired warehousing space.

In 2009, Andrew Land, Vernon’s son, joined the business. Andrew helped to develop the business even further by introducing improved in-house systems and next generation technologies.

Today VLT employs over 40 people, operates an extensive fleet of over 25 vehicles, has 95,000 square feet of modern warehousing space and can deliver anything from a single pallet to a full articulated load – as well as managing European and international traffic. VLT has an enviable customer portfolio including numerous high profile blue-chip organisations. VLT has grown to become a highly respected and trusted logistics business.
